Work on the Dome is coming to a conclusion. The base of the cupola was prepped and painted. However, we have determined that further painting will be done in the spring to bring out more detail of the metal work.

All the trim and metal work has been repaired and some replaced. All was prepped and painted with a new chocolate-brown paint.

The dome stucco was covered with an inferior product and had to be removed. Exhausting labor to say the least. The stucco surface was carefully repaired and then a special natural product called KEIM was applied. We went with a creamy yellow color.

All 8 stained glass windows are now back in after having been fully restored. The in-laid gutters below the dome are all in as well as a new gutter on east end round roof.

Our goal with the dome was to repair and restore this dramatic architectural element and insure our cathedral is water tight. We believe we have achieved this goal.
